The story
Synopsis
Set in 1864 Kyoto, Hakuouki follows Chizuru Yukimura, a determined young woman who travels in search of her missing father. Disguised as a man, she arrives in the city and stumbles into a violent encounter with inhuman assailants, drawing the attention of a disciplined group of samurai. Taken to their headquarters, Chizuru’s fate becomes tied to the Shinsen…
