The story
Synopsis
Set in 1783 during the Tenmei era, Onihei follows Heizou Hasegawa, the stern chief charged with keeping Edo safe from crime and arson. Feared by wrongdoers for his relentless methods, he leads a small force that pursues notorious thieves and incendiaries while navigating the limits of the law.
